Why do Suzuki's always rust in the most stupid, inaccessible places?, like next to the fuel tank, or at the bottom of the doors, where there's no drainage whatsoever?

Sand the rust off, whack some etch primer on it, job done! (repeat every WOF/6 months)

Had the day of obviously don't have a garage so finding a long enough spel of warm dry weather and time of work will be hard
anyway got stuck into some prep work
Image
Here I learnt my lesson, when you see rust dont poke it with a screw driver haha
Image
Naturally I did a proper repair
Image
Because black is a stark contrast to baby blue I sprayed around the engine bay
Image
Image
Fecking rain came in still got some serious sanding to do to iron out some of them dents hoping for a mint day tomorrow

:tu Keep it up!

I made the mistake of poking a suspect spot on my van, ended up having to replace a good 10x5cm patch!

Looking forwards to seeing this all black...

There are a lot of these little cars/SUVs in my area (not specifically rats but mostly off road) and I always think it would be a great time to have one :). I love the front bumper. I'd be curious too see some silver metallic accents behind it... Know what you mean not having a garage to work in and being at the mercy of mother nature. Can't believe it took me so long to read this thread but I'll be checking back for sure. Great beach pic as well.

Cheers look forward to ironing out the kinks giving the interior a tidy up and taking some better pictures, think I might rub some oil into the rust to get a darker shade.
Just started to get the roof basket rusting the other day.

Right been busy last week mainly on silly stuff to get my warrent/mot, I've installed new seat belts in the rear, Got my Sub wired up, screwed in a fire extinguisher, put in new brake pads, scraped and lubed the brake calipers and bleed them thru. Also have installed flares a legal requirement with the wider wheels see pics.

Few more tweeks to sort it out namely a new radiotor cap as its started overheating.
Plan to take a few decent picts once the roof racks on.
