Hello This is my golf mk1 from 77. i bought it a year ago and this is how it looked back then
Image
first thing to do
Rust hood!
Image
fog light and yellow lamp bulbs
Image
New rims and GTI front spoiler
Image
then the winter came so i mounted a roofrack with some winter things on it
Image
daily driven started in -20 without any problems
Image
winter over and one fender was replaced as it took some damage
so i stickerbombed a red fender and yellowtinted the headlights
Image
Beside a friends beetle
Image
got some better tyres(135/70R13) so i could lower it
Image
another friend made a slamboard to the roofrack also!
Image
on Bug Run this year
Image
Found a spare 13" tyre at the strip!
Image
perfect on the rack
Image
then got these
Image
but then found these, audi 80L orginal rims so i red painted them and mounted whiteswalls
Image
mud flaps,
Image
wind deflector
Image
Then i decided i wanna "Go with moon" so i mounted moon discs,
Image
More door
Image
and this is how he looks like today
Image
so give me some feedback or new ideas!
Greetings from Sweden! :cheers

Wow what a great looking rat ride!!
I really like the car and how do you have soo many cool wheels! I like all of them especially the second ones, and the audi ones and the moon ones and the first ones! :P

Makes me want to sort out my caddy looking through this.

hehe happy to hear that! got the second ones from my grandfather, the audi ones did i bought from a junkyard and i even got hub caps with them!
an caddy you say, i found another yesterday so i bought it for about 450$
Image
so i'm really happy now :D
and with another one i meant this
Image
that's my first caddy

But now back to the golf!
what do you guys think of putting 4 "donut" spare tires on?
it'll get about 1cm lower so that means maybe 3-4cm ground clearance
i will post some pics if i get them on!

Now that's what I call "rat-look".

• sun visor up front looks SICK
• Also like how you've treated the fender on the front stickerside.
• liking the michelin man vinyl

It's tough to think of ideas, as I like what you have going so far. I say a chrome gas cap would look cool though.

Its gorgeous, a real tasty little rat. I really like the paintwork, yellow is a great color to distress.

ok guys, Here is a little update on this!
new pic for you all!
Image
did'nt find any barrel or something like that so i'm still looking for one.
i decided this will be a full "mooneyes" themed golf now!
found some nice things on ebay :drool
Image
the sad part is that it's winter here in sweden now so the golf is stored at the moment :look
Image
so it will take a while untill i continue on this one sadly :(
but i will fix my caddy for the moment instead :D
so check that one instead for now!
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10879 :cheers

Thanks! the sun visor is from a beetle but its shorterned about 20cm to fit perfectly.
