hi, this is my first rat look car ive done, ive got no photos of it when i first brought it,
i cut the springs on the rear, but standard height on the front,
i carry alot of weight in it for my job as a joiner and ive already smashed
a hole in the sump and had to have it welded up!!! this is what it looked like a couple of weeks ago
.Image
I did like it like that but because i have to use it for work ive had to spray over it with grey primer,
i was gettin some dodgy looks/comments haha, im goin to paint it all one colour when the
weather gets better but cant decide what yet??? nato green/matt black/desert sand colour???
anyway this is how it stands at the moment

Wow that looks pretty kool. See what you mean about what impression your car gives. Being a KIDS inclusion worker some parents first impression are wether the car is safe......

Mmmmmm estates....

Loved the sanded down version, but fair enough about it needing to be 'respectable' for work :)

Colour...... keep it grey? army colours are all over the place at the moment, or something mad, like lilac house paint :D

yeah i preferred the sanded look, might keep it grey, and make one of front wings rough, and rear arches or summat!! i cant go to extreme cos i have to pull up outside peoples houses were im doin the work lol.
I brought it in november bog standard, made it rough look by week before christmas, then sprayed it grey one night in christmas holidays on the drive with 6 cans of cheap primer and a torch, cos that was the only time it wasnt rainin haha!!!

first mot place failed it on rear springs cut, front springs modified and weakened (got them grayston spring clamps on front), head lamp beams to high,
and one front tyre down past legal limit!!!
the same day one hour later i took it to a garage where i sort of know him, told him what it just failed on, and he said if i wasnt bothered about the springs he'll just do the head lamp beams, then mot it and pass it as it is!!!!! haha bonus :tu

I think this car looks great, and the black roof will look good.
As for the spot it has to come out of the grill as there is nowhere that isnt used up, unless you can find a way to mount it to the roof- talking of roof a rack would look good to chunky up the roof a bit Looks a bit curvy although the black will help this for sure .
Proper job!

thanks mate :tu the spot light arrived and I fitted it on bumper in front of the grill as no where else to fit it!!,
yeah ive been looking for a roof rack for ages but the trouble is most of these estates had roof rails on, which I wish mine did, cos it would be easy to make a roof rack out off timber then haha!!
ive personally never seen another Octavia estate without the rails on?!?! I don't really want to spend a lot of money on a roof rack cos I wouldn't really use it, and they seem to be around 50/60 on ebay.

had to buy some 40mm lowering springs off ebay, its been handling weird recently so jacked it up and noticed drivers side front coil has snapped in half!!! also a coil on the passenger side rear has snapped off!! all this on four cut springs is not good haha!!!
looked into coilovers but over 200 quid, plus another 40 quid for adjustable drop links its to expensive I think.
I wouldn't be able to drop it to much anyway due to weight I carry in it, properly why the coils have snapped :lol
