So iv had my car for a while now and thought i was about time i started a build thread for her! So here goes!

Bought the car in mid 2012 completely stock (Not my car in this picture but you get the idea):
Image

She didn't stay stock for long, got hold of some 'Sprint Hart CP' wheels and fitted them:
Image

Started making changes with a wood effect, this would be the theme for the whole car:
Image

Custom wood roof rack was added, along with wood bonnet and mazda wheels! (Stock ride height ftw):
Image

By this time the wagon was in dire need of some lows, got hold of some Corsa C coilovers and mk2 Golf rear springs, this was the result:
Image

Mazda wheels back on and this is how she sat for a while:

Starting cleaning up the bay, steam cleaned and replaced the broken air box:

After

Then decided to get rid of the horrendously big pod filter and replace it with a more suitable one:
Image
The car was riddled with rust by the time mot came around. Extensive work was carried out and she was saved!:
Image
Thanks to sam (von rusty)
Image

De wiper and smoothed handle on the rear:
Image

More lows were needed, so fitted a mk3 vr6 golf front splitter, was back on steelies at this time awating a new set of shoes:
Image
Image

Got hold of some 14x7j bbs, had a quick test fit before getting new tyres:
Image

Arches were pulled and new tyres all round, 185/55 fronts and 175/60 rears and this is how shes sitting currently:
Image

Thanks for reading, will be sure to update as the build continues (should include full respray in the near future) :)

So finally persuaded myself to do something drastic to the car, so here it is :) (Ill let the pictures do most of the talking)

Got myself one of these
Image
This happened, decided to trial it on the boot and see what the outcome was like
Image
Ground back, time to spray
Image
After about an hour looked like this:
Image

Was pleased with the outcome so today, this happened!:

Image
And how she will sit through this evening:

Also started to paint the front, front bumper and wings will be black :) (And maybe the roof, but that may be wood, we shall see)

Image

More updates to come once i get a chance to spray everything, all door handles will be black surrounds with wood effect handles etc :)

Managed to wood wrap the roof as well! But no pictures unfortunately as i was a bit too focused :P

Here is how she was looking at the meet :D

So unfortunately the wagon failed MOT on emissions and wasn't feasible for me to spend money on it for it to maybe not pass again. So heres a couple of pics from her in all her glory at the last meet she went to :(

Image

Image

Luckily, another local enthusiast has been willing to take her on so she may still end up back on the road! :D

The wagon is up for grabs as i now have a new car! Failed MOT on a few things, should be fairly easy to repair
Real head turner, always gets attention at meets, been featured on the Fast Car Magazine website etc.
£100 for the car (Without roofrack, stereo and wheels)
£220 for the car with wheels (without roofrack and stereo)
Can do a deal if you want the roofrack/stereo/mini bike
Not keeping it myself as i have a new car, would be sad to see it go to scrap

Wagon had to go unfortunately :( was upsetting, even the scrap guy said he was supeised nobody wanted it :(

I'm enjoying the ignis as well! Lovely cars, probably the best car to drive out of all iv owned. Nippy and still not bad on fuel :). Got plans for it but don't think I will fully rat it. Will still put some updates up here though :)

So making some progress with the ignis!

As i said before wont be full 'rat' but im putting a little flair on it :)

Heres whats been done:

Tinted headlights/black badges/tow strap (extra scene points)/ and last but not least wheels, which i will explain more in depth :P

Image
Image

So the wheels i opted for were 16x6.5 et45 mgzr hairpins, ( stock is 15x5 et35 but look a little lost)
Little did i know they were radius seat instead of the normal tapered seat, heres the solution:

Image
Smaller tyres to come as the 205/50s are a tad to big, will get 195/45 all round :)
Image
Image

adapters that change the seat type :)

It was annoying me that they were in 2 pieces so a tiny weld on each one and:

Image

Not the neatest but gets the job done :)

Nice solution for the nuts, but its better to buy ones that fit. Doesnt cost that much, with this solution there is a risk of the nuts going loose. I dont want to nag, but its for your own safety :tu

Looked into these and people run the adapters as 2 pieces and don't have any issues. Welding them together makes this even less of an issue so should be fine.

If you could find me some m12 x 1.25 radius seat nuts i would happily purchase them :P
