Well doesn't look like that's the case scotty, after about 15 mins of grinding and testing I've managed to get the week to fit on the front So now I know I can get them to fit I'm having a dilema for what to do next. Should I fit the wheels and roll on them for a while in their awful condition until the tyres are horrific (probs a month or two) or Keep the steels on for a bit and get these shot blasted then banded and done up nicely to put on in a month or two. Think I've found somewhere local for sandblasting, just need someone for banding them now. Looked at bandedsteelies.com so far, but is there anywhere else out of curiosity? and a bit more local to the hearts/beds/bucks area?

Alright so looking into getting the wellers banded 8j fronts and 9j rears... after much research i realised "feck me it's going to cost a lot.. holy feck that's without tyres" So it seems for a set of wheels and tyres this'll cost 500-600 sterling. Man that really worth it? Meh sure it is, Going to save up and get them done February time. Also seems my glowplug relay is buggered so could possibly mean the alternator is also buggered. Yay winter. In the meantime here's a random picture

Having some serious issues, fairly new battery needing to be jump started everyday!

the gearing must be way out on them xD I'm guessing 2nd gear is almost 1st now due to the smaller rolling radius - but who cares when it looks that cool as for banding, jamesp on retrorides forum does them for around £40 per wheel and has only had great feedback. I have a few done by him and they're excellent quality and very tidily done

The police pulled me over on tuesday and told me I had to leave it at the side of the A5 on a layby, because apparently I needed to get it re-MOT'd. I was going to pick it up after work yesterday and saw it on the way to work, but my mate who finished before me drove past it and told me it weren't there.
After asking around one of my friends saw it being winched onto the back of a van at about half 2 by two guys, he just though i'd got them to collect it.
So kind of pissed off with that really.

ah no I really hope you get it back, and that its found without anything done to it. best thing to do would be search around scrapyards, tell as many people as you can (including police) and get it around the net good luck
