the engines been in bits as something wasnt right, skimmed, pressure tested, valves reground and replaced accordingly. Also found the thermostat was playing up, which probably caused alot of the above new exhaust system to replace the bodgy one! currently playing round with the rear suspension/clearance issue problems! Redone my tracking after a disagreement with a speedbump that jumped out on me! Hoping to get it sitting a tad lower for the new year

Hope you get all the work done soon. Once finished I think a spot of hazard tape would not go amiss >XD Just to annoy the purists

the text on the doors has been done properly - by hand by a local artist who's normal field of work is intricate airbrushing on custom bikes and hotrods. She loved doing something by hand the old school way.
Check her out at Re born to be wild on facebook. - progress pics of the signwriting being done on there too.
Currently waiting for dry weather and more parts to turn up so i can make more progress.
Hazard tape will be going nowhere near this car! - Each to their own!

cheers guys,
bit of progress, no pics but will take some,
exhaust is now finished and looks ace, brand new system, coming through the sill. welded in a clearance section. Suspension is modified, fitted adjustable rear shocks, turreted the rear boot floor and reinforced the sorrounding areas. Welded in a taller section to increase prop clearance. no more banging!
bit more engine work to do and itl be back on the road

headworkwise i had to fork out for wear and tear stuff, had it pressur etested, a v light skim, valve seats reworked and a valve replaced, nothing fun.
This engine is the interim engine (its a non 205), a longer term beast is going to be built, - well thats the plan
Got a 205 block pinto lump im planning to go have machined out to 2.1 and run a big valve head, decent cam and bigger carbs
Had to do all the other stuff first to handle the power ive got now and cope with future plans!
