Its been around for a while now. Apperently the first Rat look car to be front cover of a main stream tuning mag. People hated it people loved it, hell theres even a polish replica of it. It also made it in the runnings of fast cars top 100 and featured in many other magazines uk and abroad. It was done for kicks nothing more nothing less.

After 6 months of fun we thought we would let it go or strip it. Turn it into a barbeque or towing dolly. but for 6 months it stood on me mums drive way waiting for its fate

Image

After 6 months Me and Shaun were planning on building a track toy to blow a bit of steam out. My mk2 gte I was going to use, the shell was ok but it needed a floor and finding parts (even though me and shaun have quite a stock pile) was becoming difficult. If week whacked the mk2 on the track it could be off the road for a while just looking for spares. So we had a look for a mk3 astra something that our mk2 spares could be used on plus simple to find body panels for. after looking around we decied to use asrat. after all its a solid shell thats not been smacked ect. So for the last 3 weeks. we did this.

And no track toy would be complete with out its engine

Image

c20xe rolling roaded at 165bhp but unfortantly a over enthusiastic driver from the mot station, gave it death before being run in and the bottom end wend leaving a nice hole in the sump

But shaun the xe wizard came up trumps with a replacement with in two days

Current state.

just swapping engines. itsfully moted with no advisoires taxed and insured just need to swap lumps

Plenty more to go though

I know it's minor in the grand scheme of the car but I always
liked the look of how the paint seemed faded on the side panels
and the fruit machine heater controls :drool It's nice to think
that it will live on with a bit of ooomph under the right foot :chill :tu

Work commencing saturday, We have a set of race cams, vernier pullys and solid lifters, but Doubt we will using them on this head, want to run the car in a mild state of tune to sort out any issues and see how good a engine it is.

Got a little carried with stickers tho. Pics up soon
