So here's how it starts,

I've recently purchaced this 1983 vw golf CL, as soon as i saw it i fell in love. which was quite strange seing that i would have never thought i'd be driving something like this



having a mini as a project in the garage i knew straight away i wanted my minilites on the golf



unfortunetly it turns out i need spacers for the front as they hit the callipers on the inside of the spokes, but i'm quite happy with the look with just the rear.
here's some more shots

as you can see ive stripped the rack ready to be taken off.
the roof is painted brown, so im going to remove some paint, and see what happens.





i am definetly going to continue the chequred rust over the roof, once sufficient rust is achieved the vinyls will be removed to reveal bare metal which willl be clear coated.

NICE! have you tried it without bumpers? i bet it would look schweeet

i will be removing the bumpers at some point to see what it looks like. i'm quite taken with the rear bumper looking like its going to fall off lol

the whole roof will be like this ranging from the top which is brown paint down through the layers to the rust and bare metal

i think it looks good almost like a graphic

something that maybe comes out and straight up level or just above the bumper

2 words. Bike can. Now that would make some noise. I love your rat and especially how it has 2 different sets of wheels on. It gives it more of a drag rat look
