http://toyotarwd.blogit.fi/miss-november/ :)

i have to say that im flattered...

nothing else bigger, just daily driving and waiting real winter.
one stock engine project is sitting in my garage, not so old school that i want but easy to inspect and it makes nice sounds ;) and lots of more power.

lets see will it end to this car ever...

Yes.

Every workday i even take my two kids with me to corolla and take them to kindergarten.
Nannys looks us sometimes little strange, maybe they havent seen so good looking car... :gheyer

Now when winter has come (actually its little bit late and we dont even have snow in here :eek ) car is getting little bit cold and when rains you cant see nothing because windows are in fume inside and those yellow lights dont show anywhere... and so on...
But still, its going to be my daily driver, little bit attitude and thats it!

Something new i want to this but i havent figure it out what :hmm

Last time i wrote month ago that we dont have snow at all even the winter is going forward fast...
Well now we have :D four weeks and allmost 20 inches is snow depth :insanity

Corolla is still going strong, little problems with coolant (engine loose it somewhere) and little electric problems (some lights dont work sometimes and so on) has come but nothing bigger...
Well car is 41 year old so thesekind of problems could come.

Driving with this now is same that you but tires to your fridge and try drive with that :lol

Nothing mods i havent do,now just driving and something new later, couple winter pictures:

Well winter is gone and now its much more comfortable to drive again :)

Those wide ford steelies i sold away and i have found very rusty original wheels with 20 year old tires :D and those are now in this...

This ratty wagon gets place in old cars car show here in finland (classic motor show 2012) and the show went quite well!
People liked our compartment and corolla makes lots of smiles to peoples face :chill

Couple of pictures and more from the show you can find in my home page: http://toyotarwd.blogit.fi/

Suitcase is changed nowdays to anotherone (red leathercase) and after i get this inspected in next month this is going finally low... ;)

To be continued...

All the time that this thing has been in use i have tried to figure out something new to the wheels.
Those rusty original wheels fits ok but those were so shy and actually quite awful to drive so something bigger was in mind.

now i have found citroen steelies,6x15 et 18 and i started first with painting job.
First those were black, then silver and finally i painted those with white...
Maybe little bit too much "tuning-look" but those are good contrast when you compare those to other things in this car...

Tires are too "fat",195/55r15 so i couldnt get this enough low because those hits to fenders.
185/55 tires could be better and maybe in that size i can find them here in finland (usedones)
I dont want to buy newones until i have tested those.

Thanks! :)

Engine swap has been in mind all the time but my other project has taken all my free time.
That is almost ready so in this winter is possibility to start to make engine to this.

I have one original engine wich is almost ready to put together with turbo (2a-engine pistons, block have copper flamerings and better cylinder head) and my friend have old school 2t-g engine in pieces wich i have planned too to this.
4a-ge could be also good, light engine and enough power to thiskind daily driver and if you keep that in original shape it works all the time and doesnt spend fuel much...

Time shows where i end, here in finland those 4a-ge engines costs little bit too much (if you want all rear-wheel parts like water outlets, transmission, manifolds and so on) so i maybe choose something cheaper like that 2t-g.

And that sound what comes when you have double carbs is amazing... :bow

Its again that time of year...

winter is coming and i have to put those tiny 12" wheels again to this.
well this is much lower than last winter and those 12" tires are much smaller than those 15" :rolleyes

i have many speedbumbs in my worktrip and this is not anymore fun to drive :nerd

.luckily i got in next week another set of citroen steelies and i get set of spiketyres to those.
185/55r15
maybe then this thing is again driveable...

picks later,i have thinking that the wheels colour must be something else than white because another ones are already white.
maybe rust is that thing to those, lets see ;)

we have snow here something like 10 inches and even more in some places and a temperature was below -20 celcius degrees while ago... :hmm

couple of winter pics, still got those 12" tires...

Image

Seat covers look nice, I'd love to have them in my van... Can't say I'd like to have your weather though, it's just now been -12C here so makes me feel a little bit warmer :) those chromed out steeliness will look great in summer! Roof rack looks good as well. Fridge logo would be great. Could probably even use stick on letters (if you can get the car warm enough so they don't fall off lol).

i almost put this to the garage corner because it started to smoke so badly that i couldnt drive anymore.
luckily only head gasket went bad and to thiskind of engine it takes only one hour to change that :D

so i change that and this is still in daily use.
my another project is now very close to get ready and inspection so when that happens (maybe next month) i will start to drive with that.

this goes to the garage then and it will start to wait winter.
or if my other cars brokes then i have working car ready to race...

couple pics for this spring
