Loving those lows mate :thumbsup Getto fitted roof bars ftw, don't use the feet but use the exhaust clamps and drill/clamp the bars straight to the rail I'll find a pic of how i did mine (Connor's also done it the same way...)

Nice one Nat...appreciated! I was going to put them on diagonol/wonky but there isn't enough thread to get them on proper secure so I'll have to rob this idea ( and a few others )

Went in the attic earlier (looking for my heatshrink....buggered if I can find it and it's a massive bag ). Found some old (skool) decals for my car in the attic. Not sure if I'll be using them all though. I'll use the Shorty's decals..the others I'll think about. Slow progress today. My bumper bounced off my wheelie bin and the DRL's broke off!! Had to bond on a metal extension each side instead of the wood so that took up some of my day. Had a go at making my plastic bumper rusty!!! Starting to go Slow work though. Got some hard sanding to do tomorrow.

Last update for a while unless I can really crack on before I go back to work on Thursday. I'm up now ready to start on the Wagon. Going to rust the bonnet today, get the roof bars and basket on. Also going to get the whole car rubbed down (as much as possible, anyway). Going out in a mo to start drawing the diamonds on the other side of the bumper and get them spayed up. So, this is what the plaggy bumper looked like yesterday morning... Not checked it today but gave it a good soaking of salt water/lemon juice when I got back from the pub last night

dan106 wrote: liking where this is going, going for any real rust? Hi mate. Yes, there will be some 'real' rust!! I've had a massive lesson this week...I'll think twice before buying a good car next time It'll be a real rat that's at least half done or is a shed already!! Feels like I've not got very far with it this week (thinking about it, it's probably not as bad as I think. Yesterday was a bit of a waste because my wife was off work for an exam so I hardly got anything done). Anyway, I said this morning I won't update for a while but I might as well while I'm here! Bumper finished for now. Any other bumper work...it'll be done on the car. I'm not spending any more time on it in my garden. Got this side drawn up and painted this morning. It's not as dark as it looks on this picture - I only gave it a light, one coat dusting with a rattle can. Bus W*nker - say no more!! Started stickering this window...was going to leave it until the end but it felt like nothing was happening so I washed and clayed my window Oh well. This is going to cost a fortune!! Did the back window as well. Hand 'painted' the bonnet as well. Ghetto roof bars fitted. Attached the hamper to the roof basket. So, that's it for today. Going for an early bike ride tomorrow then I'll probably rub down the bonnet when I get home...not too sure though as the paint really needs to go off properly I was going to do the whole car in rust but it's a massive job. I might go back to the other idea I had and paint it VW Safari beige (or whatever it's called??!) then I can rust it at my own leisure. Oh, picked up some pink paint for my wheels today as well. One step at a time though.

Cheers Connor!! Any luck selling yours yet? Fancy selling some wheels at the end of the month if you haven't shifted it? Thanks to everybody who's left comments so far. Still open to suggestions....although I seem to have a bit of a plan going off in my head. I should rename this thread "My SIIIIIIICCCKKK FITTTT!!!!!! B5 Rat!" ((SIIIIIIICCCKKK © Connor & FITTTT!!!!!! ©JMThornley))
