Long time no see or something like that...
this thing is still alive even it has been sitting in garage corner one and half year.
i get this inspected and drive with this to 2014 summer,then i finally get my carina on the road and this has been waiting inspiration since that.
plans are quite same like earlier,stuff goes off on the roof,wider wheels and more lowering and clean enginebay.
patina is going on itself
and the engine...
well i work in car repair shop and we changed to customers -01 corolla new engine because old one was working only three cylinders.
i get old engine for free so i take it to parts and then i fix that,couple of valves was burned and oil rings were totally jammed.
first i was planning to sell it but then i have an idea to put that to this.
so its 3zz-fe engine,1,6litre 16v twincam and it developes 110hp in factory state.
i want something oldschool so modern engine with little old stuff will be this fate.
in some point i plan bike engine but that seems go over my budjet right now so i do to this something:
-4x38mm keihin carbs with homemade intakemanifold and velocity stacks (from honda cbr900rr)
-direct ignition is controlled by ecu and that dont come so i will fit normal distributor to this wich is powered direct from camshaft
-this engine have vvt-wheel in intake camshaft and because that is also controlled by ecu i remove that too. i bought another head and there i take exhaust cam and wheel wich will replace original intake cam and vvt-wheel. those have same profile but little bit less valve lift but thats no problem
-original exhaust headers with 2" straight pipe and in the end muffler from honda cbr600
so something modern,old school and bike stuffs mixed together... lets see will it work
max. horsepower isnt in my mind,there is almost double when i compare to original so its enough...
